Someone had been having a really hard time of it for awhile and they posted that they\u2019d had a perfect day, except . . . (and went on to list what they didn\u2019t like about the day.) You can see right away that something feels off about that, right?<\/p>\n<p>We humans are programmed to look for what\u2019s wrong for our survival. Those of us who\u2019ve had trauma are more likely to discover the wrong more quickly than others might. That can be a good thing when sorting fruit or building a shed. To be happy, it\u2019s imperative to invoke a different sort of search engine in our brain.<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"9351\" width=\"345\" data-init-width=\"345\" height=\"280\" data-init-height=\"280\" title=\"Except\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/thedivinefellowship.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Except.jpg\" data-width=\"345\" data-height=\"280\" style=\"aspect-ratio: auto 345 \/ 280;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the deal: The Universe (God, Higher Power, All That Is, Whatever) happily serves us up what we think about. What we hold in our attention becomes gifted to us. What we focus on sends an energetic message to Universe, \u201cMore of this, please.\u201d To which the Universe responds, \u201cCertainly! And here! Have it in abundance!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s break the pattern of negative or sorrowful things happening to us. Take 15 minutes of your day . . . (Yes, just 15 minutes!) and think of wonderful things you\u2019ve experienced in your life and think of wonderful things you hope to experience. It helps to write a list of happy happenstances. Keep it simple. Like; kicking through the fall leaves with the dogs. Really recall those details. Molly as a puppy diving into a pile of leaves and spinning until all the leaves were scattered. What joy that memory evokes! I remember the large oak leaves and the beautiful colors on each one. I recall Phil\u2019s laugh. The crisp air, the bright sun, that old coat\u2014ragged but warm, the throwing of leaves into the air and the dogs catching them. Just reading about my memory probably brought a wave of bright energy to you! Imagine how much power your own memories possess!<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve remembered good things for a bit, then shift into positive expectations\u2014your hopes, what you hope to experience. Laughter, ease, comfort, excitement of pursuing a dream or a goal. Maybe you aren\u2019t experiencing them in this moment, but you know you\u2019ve experienced good things before. You can and will experience more goodness. Don\u2019t have happy memories? Ask others to share theirs! When you can \u201cget into it\u201d it feels just as real and is just as powerful! See it and feel it. Then envision what you hope to experience.<\/p>\n<p>See it into being. See yourself happy. See yourself healthy. See yourself financially comfortable. See yourself helping others. See it. Believe it. Be it!<\/p>\n<p>15 minutes of remembering\/envisioning offers some amazing side benefits!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>1<\/span><span>one moves through the day uplifted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>2<\/span><span>one sees opportunities more easily.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>3<\/span><span>one becomes immune to other\u2019s negativity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>4<\/span><span>one experiences more joyful experiences throughout the day.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>5<\/span><span>gratitude sets in to comfort, support, and motivate the next step.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>6<\/span><span>others start to shift.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>7<\/span><span>one begins to access the inner power of an indestructible life.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>8<\/span><span>Happy happens.
